Tooling & Design
Our mission is to work closely with our customers to create a realistic wish list. This list identifies all aspects of the project which includes but is not limited to product cost, product performance, aesthetics, and environmental impact.

We start with a Solid Works drawing. This drawing can show how your thermoformed part looks with product in it as well as in a box or carton. If this looks good we move to a Cad drawing. This allows us to make sure we can create the custom thermoform tooling for the part needed. If this works we move to the prototype stage. We will create a prototype mold and form parts off of it in various material sizes and types, depending on the customer requirements. The next step is the testing of the prototype. We check fits, perform vibration tests, as well as tilt and drop testing. All of this is performed on site with CMI testing equipment. If all of these tests are confirmed, we then pass the sample along to the customer. After customer approval, production tooling is started. Our full in-house tool shop has the capability to design and create your custom plastics thermoform tooling from start to finish. We are also dedicated to use standard tool bases and standard tooling components whenever possible. This reduces the overall cost of tooling to the customer.
